The threat and actual incidents of fraud continue to increase, with organizations losing a significant percentage of their turnover to fraud and corruption. The conference is designed to address key issues which organizations face daily in this regard. Highly publicised corporate failures, the KING II report, the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Municipal Finance Management Act (MFMA), as well as the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing have all increased awareness of the importance of effective control structures and risk management in the prevention, detection and correction of fraud and corruption.
This conference will assist anyone involved in fraud prevention management processes, particularly management, internal / forensic auditors and risk managers, as well as those involved in investigations and legal matters. The sessions provide practical tools and advice that will enable participants to proactively fight fraud and corruption – from preventing and detecting fraud through to investigating different types of fraud and finally criminal prosecution.
