Women leading from the front - Jeanett Modise inducted into The Future of HR Hall of Fame

Executive Head of People and Transformation at short-term insurer Santam, Jeanett Modise has been inducted into The Future of HR Hall of Fame.
The accolade bestowed on Modise forms part of the Future of HR Awards, an initiative that seeks to recognise South Africa’s most outstanding, inspiring and effective leaders in the field of people management strategies and HR innovation. Modise was formally recognised for the outstanding contribution she has made in driving workplace transformation. The Hall of Fame is the highest honour at The Future of HR Awards. It recognises an individual who, through visionary people management strategies and leadership for over 10 years, has made an outstanding contribution to the industry as a whole. It is for commitment and contribution to advancing the impact of human capital management on business, culture and performance.
Santam Chief Executive, Lizé Lambrechts said, “Jeanett has been instrumental in implementing people management strategies and has been acknowledged for her outstanding achievements in people management through effectively showcasing strategies and practices that deliver direct impact on Santam’s business performance. She is innovative in her approach and continues to set new standards for the HR fraternity.”
“Beyond excelling in her field, Jeanett has contributed to the industry in many different ways from Public Sector HR Development to gaining further eminence through her contributions and thought leadership,” commented Tumelo Seaketso, a Director at Deloitte Consulting and one of the adjudicators of the Future of HR Awards.
Modise has held the position of Executive Director for People and Transformation since 2014.
She also serves as Non-Executive Director for Indwe Broker Holdings. Previous roles have seen her shine at SAP Africa, AngloGold Ashanti, IDC and Mutual & Federal. Amongst many other achievements, Jeanett has been a Non-Executive Director for Save the Children SA and Forskor where she was also chairperson of the board HR & Remuneration committee. A qualified Nurse and Midwife, her impressive academics include an MBL, B.Com & MDP (Unisa), SEP (Harvard) and AMP (Insead).
