Thebe Ya Bophelo Healthcare named finalist for SABS President’s Award
Thebe Ya Bophelo, South Africa’s foremost black-owned and managed healthcare administrator, has been selected as one of the three finalists for the prestigious SABS President’s Award. The company’s selection as a finalist was based on its implementation of ISO 9001, a global standard for quality management.
To qualify as finalists, the participating companies have to display a significant improvement in any one or all of the following business areas: business performance/business growth, achieving business objectives, and customer satisfaction. Thebe Ya Bophelo Healthcare Administrators has, over the years, moved into the top 10 list of open plan administrators locally, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to serving its clients’ needs. Thebe Ya Bophelo also prides itself as being one of the most affordable administrators in the market, thus playing a key role in making health care affordable to more South Africans.
The SABS President's Award is presented annually to the company that uses SABS standardisation and certification services to best effect by growing or improving its business, meeting strategic objectives and satisfying customers. The award recognises and honours business performance and efficiency.
“We are excited and motivated by this recognition from an organisation like SABS, which is the guardian of standards in South Africa,” says Thebe Ya Bophelo Healthcare Administrators’ CEO, Rohan Laird. “We continually strive to improve the quality of our services, as customer satisfaction is at the heart of what drives the business. How well we do our job has a direct impact on the lives of the members of the medical schemes we serve. It’s a heavy responsibility, but it’s one that inspires us to keep on doing better. The ISO 9001 principles have been, and continue to be, an important tool for helping us achieve this goal.”
The President’s Award will be announced and presented to the winning company at the SABS Annual Gala Dinner on 10 October 2014.
