Sanlam secures Long-Term Insurer of the year title for third consecutive year

20 August 2024 Sanlam

Sanlam has once again been recognised for its excellence in the financial services industry, winning the 2024 Intermediary Experience Award in the Long-Term Insurer Life/Risk category at the prestigious Financial Intermediaries Association of South Africa (FIA) Awards. This marks the third consecutive year that Sanlam has received this accolade, highlighting its consistent commitment to empowering South Africans through financial security.

Jean Lombard, Chief Executive at Sanlam Risk and Savings, reflected on the significance of this achievement, saying, “We are proud to be acknowledged by independent intermediaries across the country for the third year running. This award underscores our position as an industry leader. By consistently pushing the boundaries of innovation, we have redefined customer expectations. Our recently launched Premier Smart offering, for example, leverages cutting-edge technology to simplify the insurance application process - a prime example of our commitment to delivering exceptional value and service for our clients. It’s a smart solution built on a solid foundation, with easier onboarding and more personalised underwriting to exceed client expectations.”

The FIA Intermediary Experience Awards have been a benchmark for excellence in the industry for over 20 years. These awards celebrate providers who excel in delivering outstanding products, solutions, and services to end-consumers through member intermediaries and financial advisers.

“These awards remind us of the intricate and essential relationships between all stakeholders in the financial services industry,” Lombard continued. “We’re all working towards a common goal: to change the face of people’s financial futures by ensuring they have access to professional advice and innovative solutions. It’s rewarding to see this shared commitment come to fruition.”

“Our relationships with intermediaries are vital,” Lombard added. “We know that working closely with our partners is the only way to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients, and the trust placed in us by these professionals is something we value immensely.”

Lombard concluded by emphasising the importance of choosing the right intermediary and product provider: “This choice is crucial for people seeking the right cover for their unique needs. It’s about more than just financial protection—it’s about providing peace of mind and ensuring that individuals and their families can recover and rebuild when faced with life’s challenges. At Sanlam, we are committed to being the partner that South Africans can rely on. We want every family to live with financial confidence.”
