The 25th Raging Bull Awards (performance to the end of 2020) will be hosted by Personal Finance this year. However, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the gala dinner will be replaced by video streaming the event to participants and interested parties on 2 February 2021.
The annual ceremony celebrates the top performers across a range of sectors and acknowledges investment managers in terms of top outright performers, best risk-adjusted performers and the best unit trust management companies.
With over 45 management companies and 1 600 funds to choose from investors face a challenging mission sifting through investment data. Proper analysis and tools are needed to make choices suited to investor risk profiles.
The Profile Group and its subsidiaries, ProfileData and PlexCrown Fund Ratings, are proud to have been selected as the data provider for the awards. The data includes both straight performance over 3 years and on risk-adjusted performance over 5 years for individual funds. It also calculates the risk-adjusted performance for the management company awards over 5 years.
“In the tough economic conditions, which are also impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic in South Africa and globally, the investment selection process for both investors and fund managers remains as difficult as ever and we congratulate the Raging Bull top performing funds and management companies”, says Ernie Alexander, Executive Chairman of the Profile Group. "We thank our dedicated research team at ProfileData and PlexCrown for putting the performance analysis together in a professional manner. We are sure the virtual event format, hosted by Personal Finance, will not deter from the positive impact the event brings to the financial and investment industry”, says Alexander.
