After a decade of focus in the Business Process Management (BPM) arena, Johannesburg-headquartered business performance improvement firm Ovations has been selected as the first ever winner of the BPM Excellence Award.

The award was presented to Ovations at the 5th Annual BPM Congress attended by more than 70 delegates at Midrand’s Gallagher Estate in the first week of September.

Ovations, which employs over 80 people, is a niche business transformation solutions provider that helps its clients to achieve sustainable business improvement through integrating solutions that align people, processes and technology with business strategy and transformation drivers.

The firm’s expertise includes enterprise architecture, business process analysis, re-design, re-engineering and optimisation, enterprise content management, people capital management, change management, enterprise application integration and service oriented architecture, business systems implementation, solution support and educational services.

Reflecting on the company’s award, Brenda Wille, Ovations’ marketing manager, said it was based on a combination of factors, including:

· recognition of Ovations’ track record built up over the past decade

· implementation successes amongst a wide range of clients in a variety of industries

· Ovations OvaFlo – a highly effective work management framework and user interface

· Ovations’ contribution to thought leadership in the BPM space

· proven and practised methodologies for implementing BPM and transformation projects.

· partnership approach to transforming clients’ organisations

“It was extremely gratifying for us to receive this award as it illustrates the holistic nature of our activity, innovation and leadership in the BPM space that has become so important to organisations throughout South Africa and around the world,” said Wille.

“As business transformation consultants, we believe we have a unique understanding of the ways that people, processes and technology intersect to create business value. We offer clients integrated solutions that align these three vital elements with business strategy and change drivers to ensure sustainable success going forward,” added Wille.
