Nedbank ranked first in client service for a second consecutive year

22 May 2014 Doug Hardie, Nedbank

Nedbank was recently awarded first prize in the Banking category at the annual South African Service Awards held at Melrose Arch, Johannesburg. The awards recognise leaders in customer-centred service across five industries: banking, short term insurance, telecommunications, security and travel.

This marks the second consecutive year that Nedbank has won the coveted Financial Services: Banking award with a material year-on-year increase in the average satisfaction score.

The awards are conducted by Smoke Customer Care Solutions, a leading customer measurement company in South Africa, and are based on feedback from customers who have interacted with companies in the various industries.

‘We are delighted with this achievement as it affirms our continuing commitment to deliver a choice of distinctive client experiences and channels of choice. We continue to invest in innovation and technological advancements as we understand that clients are no longer just looking to do banking, they are looking to do banking in a unique, convenient environment where all their needs are met. Therefore, banking models will be driven by how banks adapt to fast-changing client needs and by how well they improve the client experience,' says Doug Hardie, Head of Client Experience at Nedbank.

‘This award is of particular importance as it provides us with valuable insights into clients' needs, which inform our client-centred approach, enabling our leadership team and staff to bring the bank’s vision to life in their daily interactions with new and existing clients – truly to Make Things Happen,' concludes Hardie.
