Liberty wins award for short-term insurance customer satisfaction

09 October 2023 | People and Companies | Awards | Liberty

Liberty has won this year's Ask Afrika Orange Index award for providing exceptional service satisfaction in the short-term insurance industry.

The insurer moved from 9th position in 2022 to take the lead in the Orange Index for short-term insurance which tracks service levels among South African insurance companies.

Liberty excelled in both overall service satisfaction, as well as in emotional connection, highlighting the importance of addressing both the rational and emotional aspects of customer interactions.

"While the industry in general showed improvements in these things, the shifts for Liberty are more than what is seen for the industry overall, prompting a significant jump in ranking to first place in 2023," says Maria Petousis, Executive TGI & Benchmarks, Ask Afrika.

The index recognises how well a company is doing at employee responsiveness, adherence to timelines, efficient query resolution on first contact, and overall convenience when assessing their interactions with them.

"Customers consistently expect a quick and easy experience when it comes to short-term insurance and we are working hard to provide our clients with this best-in-class service," says Johan van Greuning, Head of short-term insurance at Standard Bank Group.

"We are extraordinarily pleased to accept this award. Not only does it demonstrate our commitment on helping our clients protect what matters most, but also recognises our teams’ efforts to put our clients first. "

Liberty offers a range of short-term insurance solutions to cover things like vehicles, household contents and personal possessions. This is backed up by a simple sign-up and hassle-free claims process designed to ensure clients a quick and easy claims process.
