Liberty Corporate is pleased to announce that it has won the Imbasa Yegolide award for Financial Planning - managing future income and expenditure. This is in recognition for its ongoing commitment to educating consumers on the importance of short and long term financial goals.

Sandile Hlophe, CEO of Liberty Group Arrangements said, “Liberty Corporate is honoured to receive this recognition which is an endorsement of our customer centric strategy that strives to arm customers with knowledge and products that ensure their ultimate financial freedom.”

The 2016 Imbasa Yegolide Awards presented the second year of the Batseta Member Education Challenge initiative. Retirement funds were invited to submit proposals on how to implement a consumer education programme with the aim of helping fund members improve their financial capability.

“In these tough economic times it is imperative that consumers fully understand their financial position and plan for their financial wellbeing accordingly. Consumers need to create short and long term financial goals and be cognisant of their money habits as well as the power of compound interest. At Liberty Corporate we strongly believe that education enhances earnings potential and creates an understanding of the benefit of debt minimisation,” Hlophe added.

The overall vision of the consumer education programme is to promote the objectives of the National Consumer Education Strategy (NCES) and give effect to the NCES vision to increase financial capability and financial wellbeing.
