Investec’s Private Banking and Investment services receive further international recognition

12 February 2014 Investec

According to the latest Euromoney Private Banking & Wealth Management Survey, Investec is South Africa’s leading provider of private banking and investment services - a distinction it has earned for the second year in a row.

"The results of our annual Private Banking & Wealth Management survey within South Africa reveal that Investec has demonstrated a consistent approach to its private banking and investment management offering by winning the ‘best private bank overall’ there in consecutive years,” said Tim Moxon, Head of Group Research/Market Data at Euromoney.

"To receive this award based on peer nominations as well as strong fundamental performance data only highlights its strengths within the private banking landscape in South Africa. Aligned with its wide range of investment products & wealth management services, it shows their private banking capabilities are respected by both their clients and the industry at large,” said Moxon.

Investec’s Global Head of Private Banking, Ciaran Whelan, said it was an honour to win the award once again, particularly given the highly competitive environment. "This is the result of Investec Private Banking and Investec Wealth & Investment working closely together to deliver on our promise of an exceptional client experience.”

Henry Blumenthal, Investec’s head of Wealth & Investment added, "We focus on creating a seamless and integrated experience, offering onshore and offshore investment and wealth management combined with specialist banking – that’s what sets us apart.”

The Euromoney Private Banking and Wealth Management Survey covers more than 35 different product and client categories on a global and regional basis and has ranking results in close to 100 countries. The results are based on a combination of bank-provided data and peer review.
