Investec Private Banking receives Global Visa Award

12 November 2012 Investec Private Banking

Investec Private Banking recently received the Highest Domestic Approval Rate for a credit card provider at the annual Visa Service Quality Performance Awards. Investec Private Banking was one of the only two South African recipients at this annual event

The award was in recognition of the Investec card and the best point of sale experience it offered its clients in the year to June 2012. Investec ensures that its clients’ experience at the point of sale is efficient and seamless by constantly balancing and monitoring transactions, while minimising card fraud risk for clients.

Commenting on the award, Ciaran Whelan, Global Head of Investec’s Private Banking business said “We are honoured to be recognised alongside global peers on a truly global platform. The Visa Service Quality Performance Awards encompasses the bank’s commitment to delivering exceptional client experience and excellence. We are particularly pleased to highlight the outstanding, world-class work of our Card team, the fraud risk team, those who hold the relationships with the local Visa office, and all involved in this outstanding client experience”

On congratulating Investec Private Banking on the award, Louis Smith, Visa’s Client Support and Implementation Business Leader, said, “The award is a true reflection of Investec’s overall processing health. It should be seen as an accolade for the positive and well informed decisions made by Investec Private Banking to ensure its clients have some of the best issuer-based processing globally.”

For Investec Private Banking, service is undoubtedly a key differentiator, with the bank’s service experience defined by touch points, regardless of structure. Although regulatory compliance and more sophisticated fraud have increased the administrative burden significantly, Investec has managed to maintain its service experience level on a global standard.

Fortunately in our case, clients benefit from a premier experience which amongst other things minimises their exposure to the red-tape. Our unique service model includes experienced relationship managers, specialist bankers and wealth managers to meet specific client needs. It is a model that has earned Investec Private Banking many accolades over the years and a reputation as the leader in private banking. Additionally, clients have the support of a 24/7/365 client support centre which can assist them with any transactional problems from anywhere in the world,” concluded Whelan.

Investec Private Banking was also awarded “Top Private Bank” at the Investors Monthly Top Private Bank and Wealth Manager Awards 2012.
