Fulcrum Suzanne Shaw Creative Award 2017: Entries are officially open

24 January 2017 Fulcrum

In 2015 the insurance industry lost one of its unsung heroes when Suzanne Shaw died in a tragic car accident. Su was a key member of the IT development team at Fulcrum with a passion for the visual arts. Her focus was on curatorship. Sadly she passed away just before an exhibition she had curated was due to be hosted by Fulcrum.

In her honour, Fulcrum established the Fulcrum Suzanne Shaw Creative Award, in conjunction with The Bag Factory Artists’ Studio and the Candice Berman Fine Art Gallery. The award seeks to identify an up-and-coming curator who sees things differently and understands the confluence of art and industrial design.

The winner will receive mentorship from Candice Berman, a hot desk at the Bag Factory and a monthly stipend for four months, as well as an exhibition at the Candice Berman Fine Art Gallery.

Entries close on Thursday, 26 January 2017 and the winner will be announced in the first week of February.
