It is considered to be the highest accolade in the profession and the prestige attached to winning means it’s hotly contested
The top three CFP® professionals who made it to the final round include:

He began his career as a legal advisor at Old Mutual, assisting some of the top financial planning businesses in the country. Prior to that Bruce was practice development manager at Acsis. In addition he has been consulting to private clients for the past 16 years, firstly at Consolidated Financial Planning and now as an advisory partner at Citadel Wealth Management.

Francois le Roux, CFP®, served on the Pretoria Attorneys’ Association Company Law Committee from 1997-1999. He was admitted as an Attorney in 1991, and was a partner in a Private Legal Practice in Pretoria until 2000. Francois, later joined Private Wealth Management as a financial planner in February 2001, gaining 15 years’ experience, achieving holistic lifestyle financial planning, in the affluent and high net worth market sectors.

In this final round, the three entrants will be required to present to a panel of judges on a selected topic and will be required to answer questions related to industry trends, topics, technical information and legislative changes.
