FNB is proud to announce that the FNB Top 40 exchange-traded-fund (ETF) has been voted as South Africa’s best exchange traded product (ETP) when considering tracking efficiency in South African equities over three years, in the annual South African Listed Tracker Awards (SALTA).

This means the ETF was the most efficient in tracking the performance of its reference index. This is the second consecutive year that the ETF has won this award.

Now in its sixth year, SALTA recognises ETF issuers for exceptional products provided to the South African markets. SALTA praised the FNB’s continued commitment to the market, the detailed information it offered to clients on its digital channels and the functionality of the FNB App to enable access to Exchange Traded Products (ETPs).

“It is truly outstanding to be recognised for consistently providing a first-class investment product in such a fiercely competitive industry. As FNB, we remain truly committed to helping our clients throughout their investment journey and ensuring that investment solutions such as ETFs and ETNs are accessible to all and continue to contribute to the growth of the South African investment market,” says Bheki Mkhize, CEO of FNB Wealth and Investment solutions.

FNB offers five ETFs which have enjoyed steady growth in popularity and investor uptake. In recent years, FNB has garnered a very strong reputation as a leading and trusted investment provider, particularly amongst retail investors who appreciate its many low-cost investment products and easy to use safe platforms. As the market continues to expand rapidly in response to investor demand, FNB intends to maintain its position as one of the top ETF providers in South Africa by strengthening its asset management, trading, and platform capabilities.

Mkhize emphasised that, “The low barriers to entry and ease of accessing of our ETFs are a compelling reason to consider them as core components of any investment portfolio. The investment format of FNB ETFs means that investors can get exposure to a broad range of local or offshore stocks without needing the money to buy many individual shares at their full price. It’s also a fantastic instrument to obtain geographical diversification for those wanting global exposure without having to physically take Rands offshore.”

ETFs are available on all FNB’s share products, including FNB Shares Zero, FNB Tax Free Shares, Share Saver, Share Builder, Share Investor, Local Trader or through your Advisor. Access FNB’s products via the FNB App or online to start your investment journey or to accelerate the growth of your investment portfolio by adding to it.
