“CSR – Africa” is winner of the 2015 SA SMME of the year award”

The 2015 South Africa Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise (SMME) Awards, an initiative of the Africagrowth Institute took, place on the 4th of June 2015 at the Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset-West. The red carpet affair was well attended by the award winning SMMEs, national government officials, major corporates and various stakeholders as well as delegates from all over South Africa. Entries for this prestigious awards competition were received, in large numbers, from all over the country making it extremely difficult for the judges to select the 5 finalists in each of the 6 categories, as well as the overall winner.

CSR-Africa from Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape did not only win the Industrial Award but was also crowned “South Africa SMME of the Year.” The company was established in 2009 where they positioned themselves in a niche market within the shipping container industry. They were the only company in South Africa offering the expertise to repair specialized accident damage, modification and refurbishment shipping ISO containers. Their mission is to be profitable, to become recognised and respected as the preferred supplier of specialist engineering service in the tank container industry. They strive to earn the respect of their customers by providing high quality service at competitive prices with excellent service levels. Their aim is to promote a safe environment for their human resources that foster productivity, committed teamwork, personal growth and mutual respect. Their director mentors various youth businesses within the Eastern Cape and offer motivational seminars with schools inspiring the youth that education is the key to their future.
