Continuity SA was announced as the winner of the IRMSA 2018 Industry Award for the category,” Professional Services, Training Providers, Consultants and Auditors”, for outstanding contribution to risk management at a gala event that took place at the Theatre on the Track in Kyalami on Friday 9th November.

In winning the IRMSA Industry Award through the recognition of its recently developed Business Continuity Resilience (BCR) APP which provides crucial business continuity information, ContinuitySA has affirmed the value it adds to business continuity and business professionals who are serious about keeping their organisations up and running, no matter what.

“We are very proud of our BCR App which significantly strengthens our service offering and the value that we bring to our clients,” said Michael Davies, CEO, ContinuitySA.” Our development team have worked hard to bring a digital product to market that can significantly contribute to enhancing and embedding the adoption of BCM within an organisation”.

Developed by ContinuitySA’s Advisory Services team, the BCR App is designed to provide easy, anywhere, anytime access to an organisation’s business continuity and resilience plans. Available free on any Android or IOS device, the secure, encrypted and password protected app allows for upload of multiple types and levels of BCM plans, with permission-based access.

The app allows for rapid activation of response plans, teams and recovery actions during a disaster, provides recovery status tracking and provides for notes and comments to be made and emailed for record-keeping purposes. With push notifications, the app keeps business continuity top-of-mind for every person with an interest in company resilience.

The CSA BCR App provides Risk Managers with a tool to execute a seamless response to an incident, enabling the organisation to manage the disruption, and the risks that such a disruption creates for the organisation.

Uniquely free of charge, the BCR App is an ideal tool for assisting African companies in elevating BCM initiatives to the next level with minimal expenditure using the ubiquitous smartphone.
