Clean sweep for TIH at 2024 Orange Index Awards

11 September 2024 Telesure Investment Holdings (TIH)

Telesure Investment Holdings (TIH), the holding company of some of South Africa’s leading short-term insurance providers made a clean sweep at the recent Ask Afrika Orange Index® 2024/2025 Awards, with four of its short-term insurance brands walking away with the top four spots in the insurance category.

According to Alex Terblanché, CEO of TIH Short-Term Insurance: “We are beyond proud of this incredible achievement! The Ask Afrika Orange Index® benchmark is the most referenced customer experience benchmark in the country, measuring loyalty and customer satisfaction to recognise companies that show exceptional performance across these metrics. This is not just any benchmark, it's a reflection of the voices over 48 000 South Africans across 32 industries.”

Terblanché notes that TIH’s commitment to service excellence is clearly reflected in the trust and satisfaction of its customers.

“In addition to our success in the Ask Afrika Orange Index®, two of our short-term insurance brands - Auto&General and 1st for Women were recently recognised by Forbes on its prestigious list of World’s Best Insurance Companies. What’s more, Auto&General was noted by the Ombudsman for Short-Term Insurance as one of the insurers in the industry with the lowest complaints per thousand claims and with having one of the lowest overturn ratios. Both of these measures are far below the industry average for 2023, says Terblanché.

Terblanché concludes with gratitude to TIH’s broker partners. “These achievements would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our valued Broker partners. Here’s to more wins, leading the way and setting new benchmarks in the insurance industry.”
