Friday, 8th November, CIB celebrated their 25th birthday for the final time this year at their annual Broker awards held at The Ivy Champagne Garden. It was not only a day to celebrate a quarter century of doing great insurance business but also to thank and congratulate CIB brokers who have exceeded expectations in terms of growth and profit over the 2019 period.

Douglas Donnelly, CIB CEO, had a few words of wisdom to share on the insurance industry and positivity of South Africa as a whole, encouraging us all to engage and collaborate for a better future. “South Africa is the perfect place for opportunity and let’s not allow negativity through the media to affect the potential we have in this beautiful country”, comments Donnelly.

The CIB Broker award winners for the 2019 period were as follows:

New Broker of the year - Westwood Insurance Brokers
Corporate Broker of the year - FNB Insurance Brokers
Silver category Broker of the Year – Hereford Group
Gold category Broker of the Year – 1.618 Short Term Solutions
Diamond category Broker of the Year – PSG Meesterplan

The award winners and guests all received gifts from Elvis & Kress, a UK based organization who utilize old fire hoses, parachutes, shoe boxes and other recyclables to produce luxury accessories as well as giving 50% of their profits to charities. These gifts reiterate the need for global sustainability and tie into the insurance related gifts that CIB provide annually at this prestigious event.

CIB thank and congratulate all brokers who attended the event, to keep up the amazing relationships and sound insurance business into the next 25 years to come. CIB prides themselves on quality, personalization and service excellence throughout all facets of their business, giving brokers and clients alike an extraordinary experience, every time.
