Batseta announces 2016 Imbasa Yegolide Awards shortlist

25 April 2016 Batseta Council of Retirement Funds for SA (Batseta)

Batseta - Council of Retirement Funds for South Africa is delighted to announce the short-listed nominee companies for the seventh annual Imbasa Yegolide Awards. These awards honour and pay tribute to service providers who demonstrate professional excellence in their service of retirement funds and are made in a range of 22 categories.

The Imbasa Yegolide Awards serve to highlight the important roles that retirement fund office bearers play in executing their fiduciary duties as Trustees and Principal Officers. The Awards are an important opportunity for Trustees and Principal Officers to make their voices heard.

In addition, the 2016 Imbasa Yegolide Awards are seeking to honour service providers who integrate Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles as part of the ethos and value proposition for service excellence within the retirement community.

“TCF seeks to restore the balance of power from favouring service providers to achieving greater symmetry between them and their clients,” explains Anne-Marie D'Alton, Batseta Chief Executive Officer. “The six TCF outcomes are to be embodied in the products and services on offer throughout the value chain and the product life cycle. They should now become a baseline for excellence in the retirement fund industry.”

The Award ceremony will take place at the Batseta Winter Conference at the Durban ICC on the evening of Monday, 6 June 2016. A dazzling Gala Dinner and an evening of electrifying entertainment are planned, so make sure that you have booked your place at the conference. Visit www.batseta.org.za for more information.
