Another 1st place win for Bonitas!
TopCo Media, organiser of the annual National Business Awards, has selected Bonitas Medical Fund, the second largest medical aid provider in South Africa, as the winner in its Customer Service Category for 2009.
The awards, presented in association with the annual business publication, SA’s Top Performing Companies, was first introduced by TopCo in 2002 and was established to recognise and honour top performers in business and industry.
“Bonitas won first place in the Customer Service Category because it has consistently demonstrated its commitment to building profitable, long-term customer loyalty by exceeding its customer expectations,” says Katy Caldis, business development director at Bonitas. “Ours is an extremely customer-centric environment and we pride ourselves in our abilities to go above and beyond to address our member requests and queries.”
And, with a recorded first time query resolution success rate of 85% through their call centre, Bonitas has the statistics to back this up.
Caldis says that theirs is a market where winning new customers and making sure they stay with Bonitas is key to keeping the business growing and that receiving awards of this stature only compels Bonitas customer care staffers to up the ante going forward.
“Bonitas is full to the brim with staff members who invest personally in the customer’s overall satisfaction with the service we deliver. This was proven over the past year, where Bonitas proved its strength in the customer service spectrum time and time again, proving that while providing quality health care at affordable rates may help retain customers on a long term basis it is the personal touch that seals the deal,” she adds
In addition to this accolade, Bonitas has been recognised by the Global Credit Ratings Company with, maintaining our excellent rating of AA-, which proves that customers have expressed high levels of satisfaction with the reliability the company demonstrates in paying for claims.
Further enforcing its commitment to its customer and their overall satisfaction with Bonitas’ deliverables, the company has maintained a robust solvency ratio of 47%. What this means for Bonitas members is that they can feel assured that there are more than enough funds in reserve to provide long term medical cover, even during trying financial times.
“We were also recognised by IPSOS Markinor, taking first place in their Medical Aid category in 2008 further showcasing our members trust and loyalty to the brand,” says Caldis.
“All of our accolades might look pretty lining our walls but they mean so much more to us than people might think. They mean we’re not resting on our laurels and that our hard work and dedicated effort in keeping our members happy is showing fruit.”
