Alfinanz makes the outsourcing Oscars shortlist with Aon
The South Africa-based company Alfinanz has been short-listed in two categories of the International Outsourcing Excellence Award for the second successive year by The Everest Group, a global research company sponsored by Forbes magazine.
Alfinanz became the first operation in South Africa to 'walk the red carpet' following the predictions from the Gartner Group in 2003, who said that South Africa will play a role in financial services offshore back-office processing.
"We are continuing to work towards changing the face of the outsourcing industry and our second successive nomination bears testimony to that," said Marc Tison, CEO of Alfinanz "not only in South Africa, but now as a global player as well". As subsidiary of Channel Life and Sanlam, Alfinanz is well positioned to ensure impressive continued growth going forward.
The company has been nominated in the Best Financial Services and the Best Partnership categories in the 2007 awards by Aon, a client of Alfinanz.
"Working side-by-side with Aon in being nominated for the 2007 awards means that we deliver a world-class solution and we are also driven by "We do what you don't" motto. Alfinanz has achieved a lot in such a short space of time", says Tison.
Alfinanz has been built on four fundamental business principles that were developed following extensive research into the successes and failures of outsource operations around the world.
1. The client entrusts a critical part of its business to us. It is important to respect this responsibility and accept accountability in order to build sustainable levels of trust.
2. Technology vendors would be critical to the success of the business.
3. To approach the solution from a business perspective and to accept that technology is important as an enabler, rather than a driver of the business.
4. Ensuring we never compete with our clients, or vendors, by focusing on doing what they do not do, rather than being all things to everyone.
