Zurich Insurance Company South Africa’s Chairman Retires - New Non-Executive Chairman Appointed

Zurich Insurance Company South Africa today announces the retirement of long-standing Chairman of the Board, Gerard de Rauville, who has reached the retirement age of 70. He is succeeded by Dolly Mokgatle, an Independent Non-Executive Director since 2007

Saad Mered, CEO of Zurich’s Middle East & Africa Region said: “Gerard has made invaluable contributions in his many roles and various functions on the Board over the years. The Board and I would like to thank him for his engagement and commitment during 29 years of dedicated and loyal service to Zurich. We wish Gerard well in his retirement.”

He added: “Dolly has been with us for five years and is well placed to take over the leadership role as Chairman in South Africa. We look forward to her stewardship and ongoing contributions to the Board.”
