Zurich Insurance Botswana appoints Dziki Nganunu as Chief Executive Officer

Zurich Insurance Botswana is pleased to announce the appointment of Dziki Nganunu as Chief Executive Officer of Zurich Insurance Company Botswana Limited. Dziki’s appointment is effective from 1 September 2015 and is subject to regulatory approval.

Dziki’s last two roles as Managing Director of both Botswana Insurance Company (March 2005 – September 2014) and Marsh Botswana (January 2004 – March 2005) respectively have provided him with a deep understanding of the short-term insurance market in Botswana.

“As a values-driven leader who has an appreciation for fostering and nurturing mutually beneficial relationships with brokers and customers, I believe that Dziki will support us in achieving our aspiration of being the best global insurer in sub-Saharan Africa,” said Edwyn O’Neill, Chairman of Zurich Insurance Botswana.

A Motswana, Dziki obtained his Engineering Degree (with Honours) from Cambridge University in England in 1994 and followed this up with an MBA from De Paul University in Chicago, USA in 2002.
