TransUnion appoints leading expert

TransUnion’s Analytic and Decision Services division has recently employed leading vehicle financing and financing industry expert James van Dyk. He will be responsible for providing strategic direction and consulting services as it relates to the division’s analytic offerings. He will report directly to Thamir Hassan, CEO of TransUnion’s Analytic and Decision Services.

Van Dyk has more than 47 years of financial related experience that includes personal loans, commercial financing and vehicle financing. Prior to TransUnion, he was with WesBank where Van Dyk was employed as the Head of Automated Assessment Credit Systems (Scoring).

Van Dyk is a well-known and trusted advisor in the financial industry. His international experience and in-depth knowledge gained from years of hands-on experience enables him to make invaluable contributions in all areas of the credit cycle. His team was responsible for building the first and only vehicle financing recent graduates’ scorecard and a first-in-class scorecard for the leisure market. He was also in the privileged position to lead the team who implemented the first commercial scorecard in South Africa.
