Top lawyer joins Maitland in Mauritius

Jaco van Zyl, Senior Associate with Maitland

Jaco van Zyl, Senior Associate with Maitland, a global advisory, family office and administration, will join Maitland’s Mauritius office at the start of February 2020. Jaco has worked for Maitland for the past 10 years, in London, Luxembourg and South Africa.

Maitland has operated in Mauritius since 2012 when it acquired Inter-Ocean Management Limited, a long-standing respected corporate services and trust company. Maitland is one of the larger fiduciary and corporate services firms, employing 68 people.

Mr van Zyl is highly experienced in legal, tax and international structuring advice, with a focus on the UK and Africa. He will also act as an experienced director on various client entities.
