The Insurance Crime Bureau welcomes Michele Peach as the new Deputy Chairperson of the Board

26 October 2022 Insurance Crime Bureau

The Insurance Crime Bureau wishes to announce that Michele Peach has been appointed as the new Deputy Chairperson of the Board for the organisation.

Michele has served as a board member of the Insurance Crime Bureau for over 7 years and has worked within the insurance industry for the last 35 years. Her most recent role within Hollard is as Head of Business Assurance on the Hollard Insure Exco and being part of the M&A team in the acquisition of Hollard’s share in Dotsure Insurance.

"I have been a proud board member of the Insurance Crime Bureau for 7 years and have really enjoyed being part of an organisation that is passionate about fighting Insurance fraud and the related crimes in South Africa. It is a privilege having co-created the strategy that has seen the Insurance Crime Bureau grow and become an essential partner to the Insurance sector. Another very encouraging aspect of being part of the board is having seen how the organisation has matured in its staff development and capacity planning strategy. The leadership team have been relentless in driving diversity, equity and inclusion. By ensuring that all the necessary platforms are in place, the staff are encouraged to develop themselves through the bursary, learnership and mentor/mentee programmes that are being run. This resonates with my own personal purpose of coaching and mentoring people to support their growth and success.

In my role as Deputy Chair, I look forward to working with Ronnie Napier the current chair, my fellow board members and the management team to ensure that the Insurance Crime Bureau remains true to its purpose of bringing together the collective resources of insurance companies, Law Enforcement Agencies and other stakeholders to facilitate the detection, prevention and mitigation of insurance crimes, as well as assist in the prosecution of offenders and fraudsters through ongoing insurance fraud investigations".
- Michele Peach

We would like to wish Michele every success in her new role as Deputy Chairperson.
