Tom Creamer .

Telesure Investment Holdings (TIH) today announced the appointment of Tom Creamer as its new Chief Executive Officer, assuming responsibility for the financial and insurance interests of TIH. Creamer joined the business in 1988 and has been leading the ongoing success of the short-term insurance portfolio since 2014.

His appointment follows the resignation of Manny Rios who left the company last week after a mutual and amicable decision to part ways due to differences in perspective on the strategic direction of the business.

According to Stephen Klinkert, Deputy Chairman and CEO of TIH’s parent company, BHL Holdings: “Tom is a seasoned executive leader and innovator who helped shape the South African insurance landscape. I have every confidence that Tom is the right person to lead TIH going forward and that he will continue to grow the business from strength to strength.”

Over the past 28 years, Creamer has been responsible for developing TIH’s multi-channel, multi-brand strategy approach; conceptualising, launching and building several of South Africa’s leading insurance brands and products; and concluding affinity deals with some of South Africa’s most trusted brands.

“Telesure has a strong history of innovation and I am looking forward to constantly seeking and finding better ways to make a difference to our customers and in the insurance sector,” said Creamer.
