Following a strategic review of the Alexander Forbes business, CEO Bruce Campbell announced a change to the executive management team to ensure swift implementation of the targeted initiatives.

“The review was designed to assist the Board to ensure greater operational focus in high growth areas such as personal lines insurance, the individual investment business and insurance and retirement fund products designed for SMEs,” he said.

The re-organisation means that Anton Ossip, most recently Head of Alexander Forbes Risk & Insurance Services, will assume the role of Group Head of Operations with immediate effect, performing an umbrella function for the three divisions – Financial Services, Risk & Insurance Services and Investment Solutions – reporting directly to the CEO.

Ossip is a qualified actuary who joined Financial Services in 1998 as Head of Retail Marketing in what was then called the Multirand business unit. He moved to Investment Solutions where he held a number of positions, including Operations Director, before he joined Alexander Forbes Insurance as their Managing Director in 2003. He later took the role of the Risk & Insurance Chief Executive Officer in 2005.

“In what can only be characterised as trying times for the financial services industry, it’s encouraging to be seeing so many growth opportunities for Alexander Forbes. It can only be a testament to the innovation and industry leadership my colleagues demonstrate on a daily basis,” said Ossip.
