Some exciting news for FMI – we have a new Head of Distribution

Athos Rushovich.

Athos Rushovich starts with FMI today as Head of Distribution. It’s a real coup for our business to lure someone of Athos’s calibre join the team and we're extremely proud to have done so. It speaks volumes for what we are trying to do as a business.

Brad Toerien, our CEO has been overseeing Sales for 2 years now but this was never meant to be permanent. Athos joins us to take responsibility for driving the sales and distribution strategy and achievement of our long-term growth plans.

Athos brings with him extensive experience and sales skills:

• He started his career in Financial Services at Liberty Life in 1992 as a Broker Consultant, and moved to the start-up Discovery Life in 2001.
• He then spent 10 years at Discovery, and was involved in both the Broker and Agency distribution.
• Athos then spent 3 years in the United Kingdom as the Sales Director for the Discovery / Prudential joint venture.
• He returned to South Africa as Head of Discovery's Broker Division, a position he held until joining BrightRock as a founder share-holder.

He is definitely someone who shares the FMI values and is excited to be part of the business we are building.
