Six new appointments at Centriq Insurance

Indrani holds an LLB degree from the University of Durban Westville. She articled at Vickesh Panday & Associates where after she was appointed as a Professional Assistant at Afza Khan & Associates. She subsequently joined Outsurance, a move that enabled her to start a specialised Insurance career. Before joining Centriq Insurance as Claims Specialist recently, Indrani held key positions at Investec, Santam and Guardrisk.

Bheki, a qualified Chartered Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Accounting Sciences degree and a Higher Diploma in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand. He completed his articles at KPMG where he subsequently started working closely with short-term, life and reinsurance clients. This gave rise to his interest and involvement in UMAs. Bheki was recently appointed Reporting Accountant at Centriq Insurance.

Pamella holds a Diploma in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg. She is currently with UNISA studying towards obtaining her BCTA. Before joining Centriq Insurance as Client Accountant recently, Pamella worked at Hollard for six years. This gave her great insight into the insurance industry, earning her a promotion that exposed her to a number of portfolios, including the Hollard -Kaizer Chiefs portfolio.

Thirusha holds a Bachelors of Commerce in Finance & Management (University of Kwa-Zulu Natal) and a Bachelors of Commerce Honours degree in Financial Management from UNISA. She entered the insurance industry as a graduate in the Glenrand MIB Graduate Development Programme. This saw her being appointed as an internal broker at the company’s credit division. When acquired by Aon, Thirusha was appointed in the position of Account Executive within the Trade Credit, Surety & Political Risks division. She now holds the same position in the Risk Finance division of Centriq Insurance.

Louisa has various insurance related qualifications as well as a Bachelors of Commerce in Risk Management and a Bachelors of Commerce Honours degree in Financial Management from UNISA.

She worked at Alexander Forbes Financial Services before joining ABSA’s consulting and actuarial division where she subsequently filled the position of Finance Officer of the ABSA Group Employee Pension Fund. Louisa, who joined Centriq Insurance’s client accounting division in 2008, now holds the position of Accounting Manager.

Alfons is a CA (SA) with twelve years experience in the insurance industry gained from work with intermediaries and insurers in South Africa and Europe. He joins Centriq from KPMG where he was an associate director in their financial services division. Alfons has also worked for PwC and KPMG in the United Kingdom. He completed his BComm (Hons) at the University of Pretoria.
