The Chief Executive Officer at MiWay Insurance, René Otto, is pleased to announce several new senior appointments at MiWay. We congratulate all those appointed and look forward to the contributions they will make to MiWay in the future.

Phillip Mojapelo is a CA (SA) who assumed the role of Head of Finance and became a member of MiWay’s Manco with effect from 01 September 2019. He has more than 10 years’ experience in the financial field and initially joined the company as a Financial Manager in 2018. His previous experience includes time in the banking industry. He occupied various management positions at Atlas Mara, a London-listed financial services group, and Nedbank. 

He holds a BCom Accounting Sciences degree from the University of Pretoria, a BCompt Honours (CTA) from Unisa and a Post-Graduate diploma in business administration from GIBS. 

Reshmee Rohan was appointed Head of Learning and Development and became a member of MiWay’s Manco with effect from 01September 2019. She is studying towards a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and has completed several career-related training programmes. Her previous position was that of Learning and Development Manager at MiWay. Her other experience within the insurance industry includes working in organisational development and wellness and a call centre environment. 

Serapelo Mofokeng moved from his position as Head of Learning and Development at MiWay to take up a new post as Head of Transformation with effect from 01 August 2019 and remains a member of Manco. He brings to his new position 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. He worked with two other significant players in the industry before joining MiWay in 2008. His experience includes working in a call centre environment, as a client advisor and client services manager. He has completed the First Level Regulatory Examination: Representatives. He holds a National Diploma in Contact Centre Management and has completed a Middle- Management Development Programme at GIBS and a Senior Leadership Development Programme through Duke Cooperate Education.
