saXum Insurance Limited proudly announced that it has appointed Hennie Le Roux as Underwriting Manager at its offices in Durban.

Hennie Le Roux started his insurance career in 1996 after joining the family brokerage in Ladysmith as a Short-term Broker and Partner in the business. The company was sold in 2000 due to the other partners following different careers. Le Roux then joined the Broker Consulting market for Tough Sure Underwriting Managers, operating in Northern Natal and Pietermaritzburg.

Le Roux then made a career move to the more established Cross Country Underwriting Managers in 2002 until 2009 after which he joined Safire Insurance company Head Office in January 2010 as a Broker Consultant. He believes that his extensive experience was built here where he was involved in the daily decision making on claims, underwriting, product development and marketing and thus looking after a portfolio of just over R115 000 000 as it currently stands.
