Sasfin Bank appoints Shahied Rylands and Doly Mokgatle to the board

Shahied Rylands and Dolly Mokgatle have been appointed as non-executive directors of Sasfin Bank Limited, a 90% owned subsidiary of Sasfin Holdings Limited.

An attorney by profession, Mokgatle is an executive director of the Peotona Group, the former CEO of Spoornet and a former executive director of Eskom. She holds several non-executive directorships, including Electricity Distribution Industry Holdings, of which she is the chairperson and the National Energy Regulator of South Africa of which she is the deputy chairperson.

Rylands is a director of InnoVent Investment Holdings and Royal Africa Gateway and represents these companies on the boards and executive committees of all their investments.  InnoVent own 10% of the equity of Sasfin Bank Limited.  Rylands has extensive experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, business turnaround, strategy development, quality and risk management, BEE transformation and financial management.

Commenting on these appointments, Roland Sassoon, Sasfin Holdings CEO said, "After  having gone through an extensive selection process, we are delighted to have made these appointments which are in keeping with our previously announced transformation plans."
