Santam appoints new Reinsurance Actuary

Botes has an extensive history in the insurance industry having worked in actuarial analysis and pricing at Hannover Re for more than a decade. He was responsible for reinsurance optimisation at Guy Carpenter before starting his own business. Prior to joining Santam, Botes was involved in reinsurance optimisation at Aon Benfield.

Botes has a B.Com in Insurance Science as well as a B.Com (Hons) in Actuarial Science from the University of Pretoria. He completed his Fellowship with the Institute of Actuaries in 2003.
