Sanlam Private Wealth (SPW) is excited to announce five key additions to its Cape Town and Johannesburg offices.The new additions to the team bring with them many years of experience that will assist SPW’s expansion into new markets and its continued endeavour to remain one of South Africa’s leading wealth managers.

SPW CEO Daniël Kriel explains that because clients are placing increased pressure on businesses to understand their needs better, businesses need to adapt internally first to understand those changing needs. He adds, “This demand-led evolution is becoming more prominent, especially with high net worth individuals. Therefore it’s critical for us to make sure that we recruit the right people who possess the right skill sets.”

Irshaad Mahomed | Chief Operations Officer (Cape Town)

Irshsaad comes with a wealth of operations knowledge and client experience. He started his career at Woolworths, and has also worked for some of the leading financial services providers. Through his role as Operations Manager, he will focus on ensuring that our clients enjoy excellence in service and experience.

Puso Fisher | Branch Manager (Johannesburg)

With more than ten years’ experience in various strategic positions within financial services, including running her own successful business, Puso is ready for her position as Johannesburg’s new branch manager. She will be instrumental in expanding SPW’s new market reach.

Pramodh Sewbalas |Branch administration manager (Johannesburg)

Pramodh joins us from Alexander Forbes where he was a business support specialist. He has gained extensive experience working with wealth managers at RMB Private Bank and FNB Private Clients. His role at SPW will be to manage the admin team that offers support to the branch manager, wealth and portfolio managers.

Sphamandla Buthelezi | Operations Head (Cape Town)

Sphamandla joins us from Allan Gray Investments where he held the position of Operations Manager. He is passionate about innovation and prides himself on finding the most effective solutions to operational challenges.

Natalie Mpho Black | Communications Head (Cape Town)

Natalie has gained experience first in business development, and subsequently in communications and marketing. She has worked for some of South Africa’s leading companies, such as ABSA and Momentum, for more than 20 years. Her role at SPW is to develop communication strategies that will further entrench the business as a leading wealth manager.

“I am passionate about maximising talent - irrespective of their gender, race or sexual orientation. I believe that the various skills sets that these team members bring will make for better decision-making and will further enhance diversity within the business anddifferentiate us in the marketplace,” ends Kriel.
