Rouxlé Van Molendorff has been appointed CEO of Europ Assistance in South Africa with effect from 1 April 2014. She takes over from Gys Steyn, who is leaving the Group.
Rouxlé Van Molendorff was until now Managing Director of the assistance company, which is the biggest Europ Assistance Group subsidiary in this country and is home to other subsidiaries such as 24 Fix (Geyser and Glass replacements and repair services), Kudough (consumer credit rating and monitoring), Randgo (Lifestyle and Loyalty programmes), Healthi Choices (comprehensive wellbeing solutions to employers, medical schemes and consumer groups) and Labour Assist (labour and legal assistance to employers).
Rouxlé van Molendorff began her professional career in 1986 as a General Manager of Sales and Marketing for one of the largest Insurance Brokers in South Africa, Prestasi Brokers. In 1998 she then joined an accomplished international IT company, Dex Data Technologies as the Director of Marketing. She joined the assistance company of Europ Assistance South Africa in 2000 as a General Manager of Marketing, and then became General Manager of Operations before becoming Managing Director. In her respective roles within Europ Assistance, Rouxlé Van Molendorff has propelled the business forward with call volumes exceeding 2 million per month within the inbound environment. She has also been instrumental in driving the success of both the Telesales and Outsourcing environments by successfully growing a profitable staff compliment from 20 to 220 agents. The product growth and innovation portfolio under Rouxlé Van Molendorff management also saw the successful launch of "Take me Home”, which to date is one of the most successful and profitable products to come out of the Europ Assistance SA value added service offering space.
In her new role, Rouxlé Van Molendorff will assume responsibility for all the activities of the Europ Assistance Group in South Africa, and will become a member of the Group Council. She will report to Manrico Iachia, Executive Vice-President in charge of the Group Innovation and Prospective and Region 3 (Iberian Peninsula, Africa, South America and Asia) and General Manager of Europ Assistance Portugal.
Europ Assistance South Africa has been providing South Africans with Value Added Services for thirty years. Key within the company’s business model is research around market needs and in doing so, progressively launching products that talk to the needs of consumers. Take me Home, Kudough and On the House are some of the product innovations that have helped cement Europ Assistance SA's position as a respected market leader within the relevant service offerings. The company has also extended its footprint to 51 branches nationally within the 24Fix space which specialises in auto glass, plumbing and electrical work as well as solar geyser replacements. The majority of its care services are available 24/7, managed by a world class telephony infrastructure that handles around 2 million inbound calls per month on 540 incoming lines. Currently some 8 million families in South Africa are taking advantage of the World of Care Services, through their relationship with corporates, insurers, brokers, clubs, medical aid funds and employers that utilise its value added services and benefits.
