Prescient Investment Management, has announced the appointment of Meyer Coetzee as an investment specialist.

Coetzee worked previously at Old Mutual’s Symmetry Multi-Manager business as head of product development and portfolio management. Prior to that he has product development manager at Fairbairn Capital, also part of Old Mutual South Africa.

Before joining Old Mutual, Coetzee held positions as an actuarial assistant at Alexander Forbes Consultants and Actuaries.

His career to date has equipped Coetzee with a sound understanding of the dynamics around the investment needs of institutional and retail clients, product distribution, product features and profitability, and the ever changing legal and regulatory environment.

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Coetzee holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial Science) degree from University of Pretoria. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and a member of the ASISA Fund Management Committee.
