PPS announces new Executive Head of Short Term Insurance

PPS, the specialist financial services provider to graduate professionals, has announced the appointment of Nazeer Hoosen as its Executive Head of Short Term Insurance with effect from 1 May 2011.

Hoosen, who has both a BCompt and an MBA degree, will also become a member of PPS’ Executive Committee (EXCO) and reports directly to Mike Jackson, CEO at PPS.

Jackson says the appointment is a real coup for PPS. “It is our pleasure to welcome Nazeer to PPS. His extensive experience of both long-term and short-term insurance will enable PPS to take its already successful short-term business to a new level.”

“The PPS brand has been synonymous with being the best of breed brand for professionals and I am excited by the opportunity to help grow a new venture at PPS thatfollows a strong and rich tradition,” says Hoosen.

Hoosen was previously CEO of Regent Insurance and Executive Director of Imperial Holdings Ltd and also held the position of deputy chairman of the LOA, the predecessor of ASISA.
