PMX expands asset management sales team with appointment of Alison Willcox
Global investment management firm PMX (PortfolioMetrix) has announced the appointment of Alison Willcox as Investment Specialist within its asset management sales division in South Africa, further strengthening the firm’s investment distribution capability.

Willcox will work alongside Allan Geddie, Senior Investment Specialist at PMX, to support PMX’s investment sales efforts, engaging with SA multi-manager and CATII wholesale market, and contributing to the continued growth of the firm’s asset management offering.
The appointment comes as PMX Asset Management continues to gain traction across key sectors, with several of its funds building strong reputations among advisers and professional investors. The PortfolioMetrix BCI Dynamic Income Fund has been a notable performer within the South African Multi Asset Income category, reflecting growing demand for outcome-driven investment solutions.
“Building a strong investment business requires both disciplined strategy and experienced professionals who understand the SA asset management environment,” said Brendan de Jongh, Head of Global Investment Strategy at PMX. “Alison brings deep industry knowledge and a strong track record in investment sales, which will meaningfully support our sales efforts and the continued growth of our asset management capability.”
Willcox brings more than 20 years of experience in the investment industry. She joins PMX from Marriott Asset Management, where she spent nearly 12 years as a Senior Investment Consultant, focusing on account management, fund sales and marketing across local and offshore investment products. In this role, she worked closely with independent financial advisers, supporting product positioning and client engagement.
Prior to this, Willcox held senior roles in private banking and asset management, including Senior Private Banker at Valartis Bank AG in Vienna, where she managed international private client portfolios, and Broker Sales Executive at Jupiter Asset Management in the United Kingdom, where she was responsible for adviser relationship management and fund distribution across discretionary and advisory platforms.
In her new role at PMX, Willcox will focus on supporting wholesale CATII advisory, multi-managers and private wealth management firms, strengthening client relationships and contributing to the expansion of PMX’s asset management footprint in South Africa.
Her appointment reflects PMX’s continued investment in building a high-calibre front office team to assist advisers with robust investment solutions and specialist support.
