Paul Harrison joins Sanlam Multi Manager International as head of sales

Sanlam Multi Manager International (SMMI) has announced the appointment of Paul Harrison as its new head of sales. Harrison joined the team on 1 August 2010, bringing with him over 14 years experience in financial services.

“We are excited to welcome a new team member of Paul’s caliber and experience. He will be responsible for maintaining and building SMMI’s institutional and retail business and expanding our reach among corporates, unions, asset consultants and financial advisors,” says Andrew Rumbelow, chief investment officer of SMMI.

Having gained his investment experience in London and Australia where Harrison held the position of director of business development for asset and liability solutions at State Street Global Advisors in London and previously, Head of Business Development for Pacific Investment Management Company in Sydney. Harrison is excited to make a contribution to the South African investment management industry as he passionately believes the investment management industry has a crucial role in bridging the gap between wealth creation and poverty alleviation which in turn leads to stable and democratic societies.

Harrison holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Rhodes University, with majors in Economics, Industrial Psychology and Politics. He also holds a post graduate diploma in applied finance and investment. He is a member of the Securities Institute of Australia and has a certificate in investment management from the UK.
