Old Mutual Emerging Markets (OMEM) announced the appointment of Mohale Ralebitso to the position of Marketing, Communications and Corporate Affairs (MCCA) Director.

Ralebitso, who is currently the Managing Executive – ABSA Private Bank, will join Old Mutual from September 2011.

Ralebitso’s role will include building an effective Marketing, Communications and Corporate Affairs function across the emerging markets businesses, as well as planning, directing and implementing a brand strategy that is aligned with that of the Old Mutual Group and its Long-Term Savings division.

Ralebitso gained his solid experience in senior positions at Herdbuoys McCann-Erickson, Jupiter Drawing Room, TBWA SA, Liberty Holdings and ABSA Limited. He has worked o­n some of the country’s most established and prestigious brands, including SAB, SA Tourism, MTN and ABSA. In his most recent role as Managing Executive at ABSA Private Bank he was responsible for the development of a strategy to micro-segment the business’s view of the market and deliver segment-specific customer propositions. Ralebitso holds qualifications from Queens College New York and the University of Cape Town and has attended the Harvard Business School/WITS Executive Education Programme.
