Ms Nombulelo Moholi
Nosipho Molope
Old Mutual has appointed Ms Nombulelo ‘Pinky’ Moholi and Ms Nosipho Molope as independent non-executive directors of Old Mutual Life Assurance Company of South Africa (OMLACSA), with effect from 1 November 2012.
Ms Moholi is also appointed to the OMLACSA Risk Committee. A qualified engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Cape Town, she was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Telkom SA in March 2011. She previously gained a solid understanding of the Old Mutual Group as Strategy, Marketing and Corporate Affairs executive of Nedbank until April 2009.
Ms Moholi has completed executive management programmes at Stanford and Harvard. Last year, IT News Africa paid tribute to her as o¬ne of the 10 leading women who have made significant contributions to Africa’s Information Communication Technology sector.
Ms Molope, who is also appointed to the OMLACSA Audit Committee, qualified as a chartered accountant in 1999 and previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer of the Financial Services Board (FSB). She resigned from this position with effect from December 2008 to focus on her role as a professional non-executive director of several leading South African companies.
Before joining the FSB, she served as Finance Executive of Akulalwa Capital (Pty Ltd), a BEE company involved in corporate advisory and private equity, and was Senior Manager of specialised funds management of Wipcapital (Pty Ltd). After that, Ms Molope served as Group Financial Executive of Viamax (Pty Ltd), a subsidiary of Transnet and as Financial Director of Zungu Investments (Pty) Ltd.

Old Mutual also announced the appointment of Mr David Marshall as Old Mutual Emerging Markets (OMEM) Strategy Director from 1 September 2012.
A qualified accountant with a wealth of corporate finance skills and experience in the Americas, Europe and Asia, Mr Marshall is highly regarded in merchant and investment banking circles. He is a South African by birth and a graduate of Hilton College and the University of Cape Town.
Before to joining Old Mutual, Mr Marshall was the Managing Director for Credit Suisse's Southern Africa ultra-high net worth business in London, and has worked for many global companies, including UBS, Deloitte, Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank. At UBS Wealth Management he advised the board o¬n its global strategic acquisitions. Earlier in his career he was involved in the LSE listing of Anglo American and the unbundling of De Beers from Anglo.
