Ntombi Langa-Royds Appointed to Europ Assistance SA’s Board of Directors

Ntombi Langa-Royds has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director.

Europ Assistance South Africa (EASA) is honoured to announce that Ntombi Langa-Royds has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director.

Christelle Colman, Chief Executive Officer of EASA, stated that Langa-Royds is a great addition to the Board and that she will bring a wealth of knowledge to the company, particularly with regards to Human Resource operations. “She holds positions as an independent Non-Executive Director on various other company boards and we are very excited to now also have her as part of the Europ Assistance Board.”

Langa-Royds has more than 25 years’ experience in the human resources sector. She is the former Group Human Resources Director of Independent Newspaper Holdings Limited and the former Chief Executive of Human Resources for the SABC.

Commenting on her appointment, Langa-Royds says that Europ Assistance is a growing and energetic company which has recently appointed a vibrant new CEO and Exco team. “I am thrilled to have an opportunity to be part of these exciting developments. I intend to contribute my skills and experience to aid the vibrancy of this organisation and I cannot wait to do my bit to enhance the latent energy in the company. This is a very exciting venture for me.”

She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA Law) 1984 obtained from the University of Lesotho and graduated with her Bachelor of Law (LLB) in 1986. Some of her major achievements in her career include the re-focussing of the SABC’s Human Resource Division to align with the new transformation regulations. She also achieved organisational restructure without any industrial action, in an environment where three opposing unions were recognised.

“We look forward to working with Langa-Royds and to have someone of her calibre advising Europ Assistance on its Human Resource operations going forward. Her 25 years of experience will greatly benefit the company as a whole and we are confident that this will result in great strides for Europ Assistance SA,” concludes Colman.
