She joined Metropolitan Health Risk Management (then Qualsa) in December 2008. Previously she was Executive Manager: Medicine Risk Management (MRM) and Qualsa Pharmaceutical Benefit Management (QPBM) with product development, clinical governance, monitoring and evaluation, and providing support to operations as her main responsibilities.

Prior to this she was Manager: Drugs and Therapeutics unit at Qualsa. In this role she was responsible for the development and maintenance of medicine reimbursement policies, guidelines and formularies for Qualsa’s Medicine Risk Management programme.

She is a public health specialist with extensive experience in evidence-based medicine practice, public hospital management and public health programme management, mainly in TB and HIV/AIDS programmes.

Before joining Metropolitan Health, she worked as a clinician in various departments in hospitals in the Eastern and Western Cape Provinces.
