New head of Financial Lines for Allianz

Allianz’s specialist insurer, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) Africa has announced Nobuhle Nkosi (32) as the Head of Financial Lines in Africa. She joined AGCS Africa in 2013 as a Senior Underwriter within Financial Lines and has added tremendous value to the business.
Nobuhle will focus on growing the Financial Lines business in Sub-Saharan Africa while collaborating strongly with her colleagues in Engineering, Marine and Energy, Property and Commercial insurance. Financial Lines addresses the liabilities of companies, managers and professionals through some of the following insurance coverage: Directors and Officers Insurance (D&O) including defence costs, Commercial Crime, Prospectus liability (POSI), Financial institutions (FI), Cyber and Commercial Professional Indemnity (PI).

Nobuhle recently presented trends in cyber risk and emerging perils around the globe based on a report: A Guide to Cyber Risk: Managing The Impact of Increasing Interconnectivity at the second annual African Cyber Conference in Gaborone, Botswana. The report urges companies to prepare for new generation of cyber risks, which are fast evolving, moving beyond the established threats of data breaches, privacy issues and reputational damage to operational damage, business interruption and even potentially catastrophic losses.
