New head of administration for Blue Ink

Joos De Waal has been appointed Head of Administration at Blue Ink Investments - the Sanlam-owned leading manager of fund of hedge funds in South Africa. Joos will also take operational responsibility for the product structures and assist the investment team in setting Blue Ink Investments up on investment platforms and including their products thereon.

Joos has nearly 20 years investment administration experience and was previously head of J.P. Morgan’s hedge fund, derivatives and scrip lending department. His experience covers all aspects of investment accounting.

More recently he managed the Hedge Fund Services team, servicing five clients (25 funds / ZAR 13 billion) - products included local single and fund of hedge funds and a number of offshore domiciled hedge funds and private equity funds.

He spent 4½ years in Dublin setting up and managing an administration service company providing fund accounting and transfer agency services to Irish regulated Mutual Funds and Fund of Hedge Funds.
