New COO for Genasys Technologies

Henry Dednam has been appointed chief operating officer at Genasys Technologies.  A Stellenbosch head quartered IT company, Genasys specialises in the provision of management and customer information systems solutions to the insurance industry.

After graduating from Stellenbosch University with B. Acc and B. Acc (Hons.) degrees, Dednam completed his articles with PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he begun his career by performing due diligence investigations, preparing business plans, developing financial forecasting models and documentation work for listed clients of the firm.

After leaving PwC he joined the newly formed Corporate Banking division of Cashbank as Corporate Finance Assistant but joined the insurance industry shortly afterwards with Dominium Risk Management (an insurance administration company), first on regional basis and later at head office where he was appointed as Financial Director. 

With the sale of the business to LGI Risk Management he joined Broker Risk Solutions, also an Insurance Administration Company in April 2004 as Finance & Administration Director. Two years later he joined Genasys as Financial Manager and was appointed as Director in October 2006.  He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the IOD.
