New Chairman for Liberty Health Medical Scheme

Liberty Health announced the appointment of Larry Jacques (pictured right) as chairman of the scheme, supported by new vice-chairman Ken Haarhoff (pictured below).

Larry Jacques succeeds Stephen Maasch, who stepped down as chairman of Liberty Health Medical Scheme with effect from 31 December 2007. He will continue to assist the scheme in a technical capacity.

The changes result from the implementation of revised management accountabilities.

The trustees thanked Stephen Maasch for the value he has added to the scheme’s operations over the last four years and were pleased that he would continue to provide assistance as a technical consultant.

Larry Jacques and Ken Haarhoff have extensive knowledge and experience of the local healthcare industry.

The trustees have every confidence in their ability to lead the scheme to further success and optimise future opportunities.
