15 August 2007 | People and Companies | Appointments | Medshield

Medshield, one of South Africa's largest medical aids, has announced a new Board of Trustees, with Peter Moyanga once again taking the helm. Out-going Chairman, Takalani Nwedamutswu, has stepped down to focus more on his full-time role within the Gauteng Department of Education.

Medshield is delighted to welcome back Moyanga, following his previous Chairmanship of the scheme from 2005 to 2006. He returns with a renewed sense of commitment to offering South Africans affordable healthcare options they can trust.

Moyanga comments, "Healthcare in this country has always been a matter very close to my heart. I'm privileged to be once again contributing towards providing a first-rate service on which thousands of people rely so heavily. I'm confident and committed to ensuring that Medshield continues to effectively meet its members' needs, from a healthcare and financial perspective."

The scheme's newly appointed Vice-Chairperson is Henning du Plessis and Executive Principal Officer is Clinton Alley.
