Astute, the financial services exchange, has announced the appointment of Peter Dempsey and Stuart Porrill as non-executive directors.

 

Astute, the financial services exchange, has announced the appointment of Peter Dempsey and Stuart Porrill as non-executive directors.

 

Peter Dempsey (pictured 1) is the Deputy CEO of the Association for Savings and Investment South Africa (ASISA). ASISA was formed late last year by members of the Association of Collective Investments (ACI), the Investment Management Association of South Africa (IMASA), the Linked Investment Service Providers Association (LISPA) and the Life Offices’ Association (LOA).  

 

Stuart Porrill (pictured 2) is Divisional Director (Distribution Platforms and Strategic Build) for Liberty Life and STANLIB.   He has 14 years experience in financial services and started his career in 1995 at Standard Corporate Merchant Bank’s asset management division, followed by a move to London where he spent six years with Allianz Dresdner Asset management.  On returning to South Africa in 2003, Stuart rejoined the Standard Bank Group where he ran e-commerce for STANLIB’s retail business. Currently he heads up technology solutions for Liberty group’s sales and distribution channels.
